Why does the Asian Carp get so little attention?

You have it @ss backwards. It came to the great lakes, or is currently becoming an invasive species problem, from the Mississippi River. It was a south to north migration. And there have been plenty of people sweating this situation and looking for solutions for years. Currently there is an effort underway to create a commercial market for the carp to encourage their depopulation. Pet food is the best option. If commercial fishermen won't go after them there is nothing short of importing crocodiles that will put a dent in their numbers.
