Reasons keeping us from acting to save our Earth?

In my lifespan alone, the world has deteriorated considerably. I can see the changes everywhere I travel and it's a sad thing. I do what I can for the environment, recycle, conserve, etc. but I can see it's a losing battle because the vast majority of people just don't care. So live your life and enjoy what's left of this beautiful world we inhabit.
