What does it mean to be >>>HUMAN<<<?

I am merely a visitor to your once great planet. I am having difficulty understanding your species. You had a once beautiful planet, but you have raped its natural resources and have left it barren and polluted. Why can you not live in harmony with nature and extend the life of your world?
