How can people live on an island like Hawaii and be happy?

I know this seems like a "obvious" question because Hawaii is beautiful. But it is really not beautiful, we have one of the highest homeless rates because no freezing weather, and also most of the island is polluted by local people and asians who only accept you if you are the same race as them. Also being on this little island makes me feel claustrophobic :( I have lived here all my life, and moved to Cali for 3 years and then came back, making that transition made me realize how amazing the mainland was. In Hawaii its hot 24/7 which is really sickening, even when you are trying to sleep and its like 80� outside, it really SUCKS really bad. Also seasons are amazing to witness, where as here on Hawaii everyday for the rest of your life you will never witness beautiful fall leaves, or anything, even Christmas is miserable and hot, whats the fun of holidays and stuff if the weather is repetitive every day of your life. It feels as though I am stuck in the same day every day. EXACT same weather every day. SO HORRIBLE Just living on an island like this is horrible, with absolutely no jobs.
