My hair WILL NOT hold a curl! Would you suggest rolling wet?

Try using a set of velcro rollers. You can get them inexpensively at a beauty supply store, or some drugstores even carry them. You spray some spray gel into your hair and roll them when your hair is wet. Let them dry - you can even use a blowdryer to gently dry them - then take them out and you will have nice curl. You can always try one of those steam roller products, too.
