Does Polluted Bonds work with Dark Ritual?

In Magic: The Gathering the card game, the card Polluted Bonds reads: Whenever a land comes into play under an opponent's control, that player loses 2 life and you gain 2 life. Does that mean that with the card: Dark Ritual, that reads: Add BBB to your mana pool, would mean that Polluted Bonds would allow it's caster to gain 6 life points and cause the opponent to lose 6? Or is it only for actual Basic Land Mana cards?
